In North Carolina, renting a bounce house or other inflatable is legally considered the lease or rental of tangible personal property and is subject to applicable state and local sales and use tax.
Rental charges are subject to the North Carolina state sales tax rate of 4.75%, plus any applicable local county or transit tax where the rental takes place. Combined local rates may range from 0% to 2.75%, depending on the rental location.
Delivery & Setup: If a delivery and setup fee is charged for transporting the inflatable to your event location, that fee is also subject to applicable North Carolina sales tax.
You are responsible for the care and safe use of the bounce house during your rental period. Any damage that occurs while the equipment is in your possession may result in repair or replacement charges.
